ABOUT JOEY
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Joey Mulinaro is Midwestern grown with big city aspirations. After attending Roncalli High School, where he spent two years broadcasting Rebel sports for Rebel Media Network and his video production group, Baby Kangaroo Productions (because of Joey. Get it?), was a local hit, Joey attended Ball State University his freshmen year. While at the House that Letterman built, Joey hosted his own sports talk show, “The Average Joe Sports Show” for 93.1 WCRD in Muncie.
Ready to return back to his hometown, Joey transferred to the University of Indianapolis at the beginning of his sophomore year and continues to leave his mark there today. In his time at UIndy, he has been heavily involved with the on-campus station, 88.7 WICR. He has substantial experience in sports broadcasting by his years doing play-by-play, color commentating, sideline reporting, and hosting the studio pregame shows for Greyhound athletics. His desire to be a personality in sports continued at UIndy, and in his junior year, Joey co-hosted the Bow & Arrow Show with Colin Bowles covering all sports topics around central Indiana. In August of 2015, Joey became the scoreboard update reporter for the legendary "Indiana Sports Talk" on Network Indiana. As a senior, Joey was the host and creator of a late night entertainment radio show, “Late Night Indy with Joey Mulinaro.” He interviewed local comedians, athletes, musicians, people from the University of Indianapolis and told jokes as well. He also spent a semester as the television host of UIndy's entertainment show, "Study Break". While hosting, Joey interned as a writer for the nationally syndicated, Hall-of-Fame comedy radio show, The Bob & Tom Show.
